French antique ironstone jam pot, large rare confiture pot, old tea stained bowl, rare Sarreguemines pottery

£55.00

Large and rare French antique ironstone jam pot, made by Sarregemines circa 1875 - 1900.

This beautiful old tea stained pot has great patina and looks fantastic on display individually or part of a collection of similar pots. It looks fabulous in a Country kitchen maybe as a herb planter, but also looks great in any room in the house maybe displaying a few overflowing trinkets or natural items like shells to create Jeanne d'arc, French Nordic, Shabby chic style decor in the home.

The pot has lots of age related tea staining and crazing to the glaze, and a small hairline crack inside the pot - see photos - creating a beautiful patina.
