French antique brown leather bag or purse.
Gorgeous brown vintage leather bag dating to approx. 1900 - 1930.
It looks very similar to a doctors or Gladstone style bag, but flatter. Very unusual. It has a metal frame and working brass sliding lock (no key).
The leather is in good condition for its age, quite supple and not cracking even in the folds and gusset etc
The inside of the bag is made from leather and has an inside pocket.
The bag has a great look to it with, great patina. It could continue to be used for its intended purpose or it would also look gorgeous as part of home decor or interior design.
