Small French antique white ironstone invalid sipper or sauce boat. Made by the famous French faiencerie Sarreguemines circa 1920 - .

This is a rare and cute little example of a Canard sauce boat or gravy boat. So these little gravy boats would be used at the dining table on special occassions to serve a duck sauce etc . They were also used as invalid sippers, for administering a broth for those recovering from illness.

This is a lovely antique example, which is in very good condition for its age - no cracks or chips etc.
