Old small white 19th century lidded ironstone antique French tureen. It is rare to find this smaller size tureen.

Made by the famous French faiencerie Luneville in the late 19th - early 20th century.

Fantastic detailing on the handles of the bowl and of course if you look at the photos, lots of gorgeous age related staining and crazing to the glaze. There are some small chips and hairlines.

The tureen can continue to be used for its intended purpose, excellent for special occasions and fine dinning. However it would also display really well in the home, maybe stacked with other tureen bases, for a beautiful French Nordic Style/ French Shabby Chic/ Farmhouse kitchen decor
