Pair of French Antique White Majolica Plates by Sarreguemines

£37.00

Pair of white French antique majolica oyster plates.

Made by the famous French faiencerie Sarreguemines circa 1920 - 1950.

Great detail on these plates, with six shell shaped wells plus a central well for lemon or sauce. Very quirky and unusual, the plates can continue to be used for their intended use or just as a beautiful decorative centre piece - stunning for a beach theme room, fish restaurant and fine dining.

They are in very good condition overall, one has a very fine hairline crack - the other has a small chip underneath the plate - see photos.

width 23 cm, or approx. 9"
