Beautiful French vintage ironstone water pitcher or jug.

This beautiful old ironstone pitcher would probably originally formed part of a wash jug and bowl set. It has a lovely dark red/pink transferware pattern which includes the handle and inside the lip.

It is in very good vintage condition, authentic signs of ageing with some age related crazing and a chip to the rim - highlighted in the photos.

There is no makers mark on the base, which is quite common for ironstone of this age. The jug is believed to date to approx circa 1930

It would now make a beautiful decorative piece for the house, particularly used as flower vase, maybe as a kitchen table centrepiece.
