French vintage majolica escargot / snail dish.

This is a quirky little dish comprising of one large snail on a green leaf.

It could have been used as a serving dish when serving escargot, but may just be a decorative object.

It is made by the French faience company Charolles.

It does have three chips on the corner of each leaf and a crack inside the snail, which has been reflected in the price - see photos
